Where is the best place to look for advertising jobs?

Main Post:

I've recently graduated for university with a degree in Marketing Communications and Advertsing but I'm struggling a) to find a job in this area and b) to find jobs that appeal to me.

I just wanted to know if any of you kind redditors knew of a website that was devoted to marketing/advertising jobs?

Thanks

A place to find companies looking to advertise?

Main Post:

I have a building that has a vacant billboard facing a moderately high traffic road. My business doesn't advertise to consumers really so i figured I'd get some extra cashflow from it. Is there a website or platform out there where I can find people/companies looking to advertise???

Top Comment: My experience in marketing mostly pertains to digital and events. The little bit of OOH I’ve been exposed to was through large companies that sell the inventory and manage the placements - Clear Channel & CBS Out Front. I don’t know what sort of arrangements are in place with the owners of the space, but you could inquire! Or if you want all the profit and have the time to manage placement, maybe advertise the billboard to local biz in the area, post to social, CL, NextDoor, etc. and try to rent the spot yourself. Location kind of matters though so if it’s a meh location, you may have a harder time. Esp because the big OOH companies actually offer estimates as to how many people see the ad.

Racist landlords..if I was advertising a place for rent and asked for only white Families I would likely be on the front page of the paper getting death threats and being racist....

This is wrong on so many levels. Discriminatory, xenophobic, racist ...

What an idiot for advertising like that....

And what gets me is his moral policing by asking for a 'respectable and clean' Indian girl. It's sad to see something like that on a frequent basis

I work in Out-of-Home advertising. What do you want to know? AMA

Main Post:

As the title states, I work in the out-of-home (OOH) industry. If the mods need proof, I’m happy to share my LinkedIn. It’s an advertising medium that has been around for ages, is evolving and growing, but still gets forgotten on most media plans for various reasons. I am a huge fan of OOH and think it has something to offer every brand and industry.

I don’t know everything, but I will do my best to answer what questions people have about OOH, the buying process, vendors and agencies, measurement, pricing, etc.

Hope this helps a few people here!

r/place is a canvas for artworks, not corporate advertising
